2003 Fordf250 6.0liter diesel

We purchase 2003 Ford F250 Fx4 with the 6.0l diesel and mileage is very bad.
from macon ,mo to dallas we pull 9mpg change fuel filter yesterday. wanting t know what esle we can do?

both fuel filters , how is it running , last oil change etc , air filter ?

oil change about month ago and don't know on air filter

Hmmmm. When I changed my FF I waited about 25k. My truck was still getting 15gpm. I changed them about 6k ago. Im still getting the same 15-16mpg.

Do you still have the stock exhaust? If you do i would get rid of that muffler!

since your lifted you may have a odometer thats off. With my gears and 40's, per my gps...every 100 miles my odom reads I actually am going 120 per my gps. So I get 400 to a tank according to my odom.... I add 20 for each 100 as a corrections...so I actually got 480 miles.

You obviously have something wrong to get that low mileage for a long trip. Don't waste time doing aftermarket mods until you fix what's wrong.

did you drive with the cruise set? A new intake and rapid flow exhaust gained me a few mpg's. Does the truck smoke any? At idle or takeoff? If so what color is the smoke?
