Hey guys, I'm having a long cold start problem. When cold in the morning It has to crank for about 3-7 second before its fires. Once its warm it starts back up right away. I created the video below to show you guys in more detail. I have android torque setup on my phone so you can see my ICP,IPR, ficm voltage and ficm sync. I'm suspecting to kind of high pressure leak or air getting into the oil rail.
When my 06 crapped out the hpop pump and I had the dealership replace it, mine also started to do this intermittently. well at least I noticed it. From what the diesel tech said it basically has to do where the hpop stops in operation wen you shut the truck off. You might have it do it once then go weeks with without it happening or go weeks with it happening then suddenly no long cranks. Hope this helps.
I pulled the ICP sensor in the passenger side valve cover and oil rail was full when cold. Is there some sort of plug on the driver side (ficm side) valve cover to check the oil rail?
