changed fuel pump now truck wont start

I changed the fuel pump in my truck, started up and ran like crap then died. Now it wont start at all. I took the secondary filter cap off and its getting full of air bubbles. Ive cycled the key about 40 times trying to start it and no change. Has ford filters in it and all the O-rings are good. Could the pump I bought be bad? I cant figure out where the air is coming from.
Nothing was touched other than the pump.

Didn't touch any lines. Everything looked good on the pump. I think I'm going to take it out and have another look to make sure, if it ever stops raining here

Did you prime the fuel system with several key on/off's?
