programming egr valve on vs off pro's/con's

I am curious of what pros and cons exist in using the sct to turn off the egr valve in my truck. I live in the high rockies in a colder climate.

What is effected? I'm not worried about the emissions/legal implications. More curious about mpg/warm up time/anything else.

Thank you.

i do not think you ill see any impact on MPG nor warmup times

the advantage is not recirculating exhaust fumes through a motor that runs best on fresh air

What Zmann said turn that thing off and get a EGR delete. Only can cause harm or problems in my opinion.
