Not sure what this noise is?

This past Saturday while driving I kept hearing a noise when I let off the gas. It sounded like a rush of air, and it didn't do it every time I let off the gas just every now and then. So Monday I popped the hood and there was some coolant residue around degass cap which is a brand new Stant cap. I recently did a coolant flush and have been checking the coolant periodically. Everything has been good until I started hear the noise and now the coolant residue. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Not sure what this noise is?

Sounds like you are hearing the infamous "tea kettle whistle" from blown head gaskets.
