06 F250 Head Studs (Cab On)

So time to start on doing studs on my 6.0 like most owners of these trucks and not having access to a lift and a super tight budget I'm going to try and tackle this job myself in my homes garage this isn't going to be a rush job as I have other vehicles to drive and will most likely be pulling front grill ect to make it easier to work on, I will try to provide as much info as possible as I progress for anyone else that may attempt this job so as of today for parts Ive got in hand...

Ford Head Gaskets - 4C3Z-6051-EB - $311.92 - Sunrise Ford
ARP Head Studs - 250-4202 - $425 - Thoroughbred Diesel
ARP Inner Row Head Bolt Kit - ARP8740 - 38.70 - Ebay
Dummy & Standpipe Update - 6E7Z-9A332-B - 133.33 -Forbidden Diesel Performance
Injector O-Ring Kit - 3C3Z-9229-AA - 39.95 - North Coast Perf
Exhaust Manifold Gasket - 6C3Z-9448-A - 27.06 - Banner Parts
Intake Manifold Gasket - 3C3Z-9439-AA - 29.90 - OEM Selection Auto Parts
Turbo Update Return Tube - 6C3Z-9T515-A 27.22 Sunrise Ford Parts
Turbo Update Feed TUBE - 3C3Z-9T516-A - 89.99 - Ebay
Valve Cover Gaskets 3C3Z-6584-BA - 70.00 Banner Parts
Valve Gasket - 3C3Z-6584-AA - 57.84 - Sunrise Ford Parts
Oil Cooler Update - 3C3Z-6A642-CA - 240.00 - Ebay
Used SCT Tuner - 3015 - 250.00 - Ebay
IMG_2397[1].jpg

I got some parts that some people probably wouldn't get but I was wanting to add some updates and didn't want any new leaks ect.. one mistake I made alredy was ordering the dummy & stand pipe update since the head gaskets come with new stand pipes which I didnt know so I should have just ordered the dummy plugs p/n W302908 instead and also the truck already has coolant filter setup and EGR delete.

so if there's anything someone can see that I'm missing please let me know as I'm just getting the truck in the garage today

Re: 06 F250 Head Studs (Cab On)

Might as well replace blue spring, 6.4 banjo bolts, and perhaps ICP and/or pigtail while youre in that far. Just a suggestion

Re: 06 F250 Head Studs (Cab On)

You sure thats not oil mixing with some water making it look a little like coolant? I dont see any way possible for coolant to get into the intercooler.

You have more patience and a stronger back than me. I will only do these cab off.

Re: 06 F250 Head Studs (Cab On)

that to me looks like engine oil and H2O, which is much more plausible

I have to agree . Besides.... an 06 should have never seen anything green put in it other than diesel.

Re: 06 F250 Head Studs (Cab On)

best i remember, i saw oil& water in my dad's 06 6.0 when we pulled the outlet boot off a while back, just not quite that much.

side note: that list you made is awesome, i just showed a guy here at work what it takes to start in on a 6.0 using those first 3-4 posts lol! pretty sure it scared him away
