f250 shifting problems 3rd jumps shifts

Hi everyone thanks in advance, so i have a video of what its doing
1st to 2nd fine 2nd to 3rd it jumps a few times like it cant find the gear and you will see it on the video. im confused what it could be. the truck received a new solenoid last year from ford because the tow haul light was flashing and now i have this issue. i believe it is also the reason the truck is running much slower down the 1/4

might be a gummy valve, dirty oil, valve malfunction, spring malfunction,
or 4 other things. so take it to a trans. mech.

Re: f250 shifting problems 3rd jumps shifts

there are no valves or springs (other than piston return springs) in this transmission. It is fully electronic with 7 variable force solenoids.

OP, do you mean the 2-3 shift or 3-5? 3-5 is one of the most common problem. It could either be a failing direct drive solenoid or a damaged direct clutch set. Does it hesitate at all going into reverse?

If its the 2-3 shift it could be an issue with the intermediate clutch set or solenoid. I cant see the video so i cant tell you for sure.
