6.0 Not Starting

So I have a 2004 6.0 w/ around 175,000 miles. It has sat for the last month and a half and will not start. I tried to start it in January and again today and both times it wouldn't turn over. I attached the video showing what it is doing. After the glow plugs warm up there is a rattling noise from somewhere in the passenger side of the engine. I have no idea what could cause it not to start. When I turn the key over, the truck makes no attempt to crank as you can see in the video. At the end of the video I show that part that makes the weird noise.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-NldU6-Zk8

Re: 6.0 Not Starting

im not sure if that noise is involved with your no start condition. to me that sounds like the heater fan with a bad bearing or something of sorts. do you know you have good batteries? have you had them load tested? if you answer yes to that.. look at your starter , it could have a bad connection so re do those and retry starting it. if still no start i would take the starter out and have it bench tested.

Re: 6.0 Not Starting

Check all your fuses, starter solenoid, and check battery voltage to start with. And that noise is your vacuum pump.

+1, yep. Normal operation.

Start tracking the positive wire back from the starter.

Re: 6.0 Not Starting

Is there another location for fuses other than under the steering wheel? And what fuses should I be checking specifically?
