Exhaust back pressure/ engine load. Question

while checking my gauges on my sct live wire, I noticed that the exhaust back pressure was 75-105 psi. And my engine load was 30-56%. While just accelerating normally and normal driving. Are those normal? Thanks.

Re: Exhaust back pressure/ engine load. Question

I did some checking on the ebp values, ive seen 0-24 or 0-32 being correct. Idle should be .5 psi within maf and barometer readings. I have a issue with my pickup i think my cat is plugged. Mine reads 5 psi high of maf and baro while going up to 50 psi during acceleration. If you had that much pressure i would think you would have all sorts of problems.

Re: Exhaust back pressure/ engine load. Question

Sounds like both of you may need new ebp sensors... if you have already checked the tube and manifold fittings for soot clogging them. If that doesn't fix it, and map and baro look about the same, it's probably sticky veins.

Re: Exhaust back pressure/ engine load. Question

My back pressure is usually less than double what boost is. Usually more in the neighborhood of 1 to 1.5
