No Throttle Response (zero) - Pedal Info Please

03 6.0L F350

Completely dead pedal while driving, truck idles. Turn off and restart it will work fine for a short time and then cut out again, might be 1 minute or 2 hours. I had this happen about 4 years ago and the dealership sunk me for a ton of money replacing the pedal (adjustable) and replacing the EGR which I was sure was fine due to my maintenance of it but couldn't prove at the time, but I digress.

I only have 90K miles on this truck and the pedal was replaced probably ~ 65K. I also am not getting any codes according to my SCT tuner and the tune I have has had the EGR shut off anyway so I am fairly sure that isn't it.

I would like to replace the throttle position sensor but don't know if that is possible without replacing the entire pedal which is expensive and I assume not simple. Can the sensor be replaced by itself? Anyone know what the sensor part # is or if there is a link to a tutorial showing how?

Thanks for your time, it is appreciated.

I keep hearing you have to buy the whole assembly but the prices I am seeing vary by hundreds of dollars. I don't know how to verify this as the correct part #. 3C3Z9F836BA

Try this. Down the page, section AG15...
Gives acceptable ranges for your APP (accelerator pedal position sensor). You just ohm across pins on the pedal itself.
