Blend door? Is the vacuum line still hooked up to the climate control valve in your heater hose under the hood? Right above the passengers valve cover.

Check the air gap between your clutch & the hub. If it is too large the clutch won't engage when needed. There are shims between them that you can take out to get the gap to specs. Mine did this last summer. Diagnoses was new compressor. Saved me some $. Worth checking into. Easy fix if that is your problem. If that's not it check your freon.

I have the same issue, seems the general consensus is the air gap. Is shimming it a long term fix, or temporary solution?

Re: Intermittent A/C cold air problem

It is long term. Your taking a shim out. The clutch is like a clutch on a transmission. It wears and you have to make that adjustment to make it work properly. The shims are there for that purpose. Most shops will diagnose new compressor and sometimes this is the fix. IIRC the gap needs to be around .03. Mine was at .08 and took out an .056 shim and that took care of the problem.
