Boost is very inconsistent.

My 05 (check the SIG for mods) has started to do something odd. Going uphill at 65 mph if you try to accelerate the boost will either drop way off, somewhere between 5 and 25 psi, it varies. Today it stayed at 5 and the egt was at a steady 1100, with the truck slowly loosing speed. Is my turbo on its way out? Thanks!

Re: Boost is very inconsistent.

No codes. I've never cleaned the ebp sensor in its 93000 miles, after reading the symptoms of a dirty/bad sensor it's worth a shot.

Re: Boost is very inconsistent.

Cleaned the tube and sensor, pretty easy job. Tube was a little dirty, not clogged, cleaned out sensor with contact cleaner and reassembled. Drove it for 2 hours and it never missed a beat. Hopefully it's cured!
