Newbie Needs Help-03 no start

I am new to powerstrokes. Just got done with new oil cooler, studs, oem headgaskets, new hpop. I got it all reassembled and it ran for ten minutes and died with rpms a little above idle. Got a scangauge 2 and have FICM volts over 47 at all times, ficm is synced, but ipr goes to 85% and icp wont go above 300-350. What next?? I am ready to throw in the towel and have it towed to the shop;after all this work though I would like to finish the job! Thanks in advance

I unplugged the icp to see if it will start(saw on forum to try) and still didn't start. The ipr reading then was 1895 and icp was 56.

That sounds like a HPOP problem, but you said you just put a new one on it. Not sure if air in the system would cause those numbers or not though. Motorcraft HPOP?

Bosch.....I am hoping this is an easy fix without having to tear back down. I realized that I have an aftermarket(tall) oil filter cap with a new oem oil filter. I have read that causes no starts so I am hoping that's it. I will get a new cap tomorrow.

That's a start. Get rid of that thing and get a stock cap and Motorcraft filter. ONLY use Motorcraft (or Racor) filters on a 6.0!

I had the same problem. Replaced the oil cooler and it ran for two days and then a no start. Pulled the ipr and bit had a big hole in the screen. You have to be sterile when working below all your filters.

By chance did you clean around your oil cooler with some cotton rags? You said white fuzz....sounds like some lint from whatever you cleaned it with. The reservoir has to be absolutely clean when you put it all back together.
