Help me Identify this Part?!

Howdy!
OK, this part has what appears to be an open vacuum hose connection... but i'm not sure lol! and my google searches have not revealed anything to me as of yet... my only concern about this is that there just might need to be a vacuum hose connected to it!

There is a vacuum hose connected to it... and its the heater control valve

no lol look at the last pic. it shows the little hole i'm asking about. i'm fully aware of the gray one coming out of the front of it lol

so this is it actuated, correct??? lol ok i see now that it isn't a hose connection at all... i couldn't fit my fat head back there to see it hahaha!

Its just for the heater turd... Side note, most commercial vehicles such as 450s and 550s don't have this valve and the vacuum hose is just stubbed up on a post on the evaporator case.
