05 F250 Wrecked, Won't Start

Ok, bought a wrecked 2005. Pulled the radiator off of the motor. Cranks fine, fuel pump inertia switch is reset, fuel bowl full, harness to cam and crank sensors not damaged, do not have 48v in the ficm. Have zero on both outer screws, and 12v on the right inner screw. Pulled ficm relay, getting power. Jumped 1 to 2 and 3 to 5 just to be sure. Still didn't get 48v. Tried spare ficm, same thing. Tried spare pcm, same thing. Where do I go from here?

Second problem is, just got new to me AE. I can't get that to link with the truck to give me some data.

As stated in first post, reset inertia switch. Tested the switch and have continuity through it.

I don't don't check FICM voltage from the pins, I just look at the scanner so I don't know anything about checking the pins. But your problem may be the PCM and FICM are not powering up, and that's why you can't scan it. I think you need to look at a wiring diagram and figure out what wires power up the PCM, FICM and the OBDII connector and see if that's good before you replace anything.

Re: 05 F250 Wrecked, Won't Start

As stated in the first post... have 12v on the inner screw of ficm. Have fuel pump coming on when key is forward, so have voltage from pcm. Bypassed ficm relay, has 12v main power. Have gone over wiring diagram, all fuses good.
Guess when I get home I'll try switching engine harness in case there is damage I'm not seeing.
BTW dlc gets its power from the cigarette lighter, not the pcm.

If your not getting 48v at the FICM and you have 12v to it, then that sounds like a bad FICM. Also check and make sure all the wires on the ignition switch are hot wire the key on, only one won't the crank wire.

Re: 05 F250 Wrecked, Won't Start

Ok, here's an update... have ficm, no hpo. Showing 97lbs on the torque app, unplugged icp and went to just over 1200. What could the accident have changed in the hpop system?

IPR. Maybe it dislodged something in the oil system?

When you unplugged it that 1200 is the default setting, if the ICP connector is not connected the PCM can't read pressure.
Probably the best thing to do next is pressure test the HPO system.
