perturbing fuel guage issues

Took my truck to shop to check why fuel gauge wasn't working properly, had it completely gone through and he said it came down to the sending unit is bad. So ordered a new one and was easily pulled old one out and dropped new one in without touching or modding anything on it, was exact same unit, well now the needle doesn't even move, it barely jumps a hair, but doesn't go up to show I have any fuel at all, did my best to try to follow wires but once they go into another plug I lose them and haven't the faintest what wire it is tiat goes to the dash, with that said, was wondering if by chance one thing that might help my gauge work right now is to do the blue spring upgrade to put the fuel pressure back up where it needs to be because mine is running only 50 psi at idle. Any feedback would be awesome, thanks for yalls time.

Blue spring raises your fuel pressure....has nothing to do with your fuel gauge. Sounds to me like something isn't hooked up right or connected well with the new sending unit. Or you have a short in the wiring somewhere.

Re: perturbing fuel guage issues

Can you use a test light to trace the wires? Put power to one wire at a time and check sequentially
