Pillar Gauges

I have a question about how pillar gauges mount up. I want to buy pillar gauges for my truck but i read something about the gauge pod that you buy online only being a cover and you need to take the handle off your current pillar cover and having to rivet the gauge pod to your current pillar cover and drill holes in the old one.. Is there any gauge pod that is an actual replacement pillar cover and not just a cover that needs to be riveted to the current one?

Re: Pillar Gauges

I can only speak for the Glow Shift pillar gauges. They do require removing the handle and attaching it to the stock pillar cover. It comes with screws, but I imagine you could also try using hot glue if you don't want to put holes in the stock.

Re: Pillar Gauges

Well I guess I'll just have to buy that kind then. I just wanted to see if there was a real full replacement. Thank you!

Re: Pillar Gauges

I had looked into that as well, but I have the overhead console thingy with the lie-o-meter mileage display. If you have one of those you will either need to custom fit a pod or have reallllllyyyyyy small gauges to fit up there. lol

Re: Pillar Gauges

My pillar 3 gauge mount replaced the stock pillar cover. I replaced it with a 4 gauge mount. You can have my 3 gauge mount. If you want it I would only ask you pay me the shipping charge. I don't remember the brand.
