Angry AIR DOG 2 Fuel pressure issue

I have an air dog 165 and at idle it has 60 PSI but when I go WOT it drops to somewhere around 25 psi!!! I just put a new motor in it and a new fuel filter and no change. Voltage to the pump is fine.... Help?...

Re: AIR DOG 2 Fuel pressure issue

You and everybody else that has an AD2 has had this issue before, I have one as well and have always had that same issue, mine doesn't drop quite as far as yours does but it does go to around 40-45ish, I personally think its just a crappy made fuel pump, I've replaced my motor 4 times and it still ends up the same. I have heard that blocking the return line is suppose to help so the regulators aren't fighting each other, you could try that and see what happens

Re: AIR DOG 2 Fuel pressure issue

Blocking the the factory regulator will help alittle with stress on the pump. I had a ad2 with 205s and it would drop like a rock at WOT, only way to permanently fix the ad2 is to delete it.

Re: AIR DOG 2 Fuel pressure issue

You can cut a round piece from a soda can to block it, as for the water filter if I ain't mistaken those are rated for like 20k or so miles before it needs to be replaced
