Heating/Temperature Issues

Good Morning All - Newbie to the board here. I have a 2004 Excursion that I am having some temperature issues with. In November I noticed that the heat blew cool out of the vent. So I replaced the blend door actuator...didn't fix it. I then installed a new thermostat. Now when the truck is actually driving - on the throttle it blows hot! But when I come to a stop it goes back to being cool. Now, here;s the other thing...Yesterday it was too warm for heat, so I knocked the setting down - but it still blew the warm air. What gives???

Deltas are great BTW - since putting in a new thermo they stay within 5*

Thanks!
