Re: Crank/ no start

It's definitely not unheard of for the low pressure oil pump to take a dump on a 6.0 either. You might wanna look in the oil filter to see what's there also.

Re: Crank/ no start

I have this same thing happening to my truck. I have to keep the key cranked until the pressure rises and then I let off of it and it will sputter like it doesn't want to run for around 5 minutes.

Re: Crank/ no start

Ok guys, we did confirm it was the HPOP. When we pulled the old one out, it was seized, u could not turn it at all, and there was a bushing on the back side of it that was knocked out. Also, the HPOP changed from the 03-04 years to the 05 and newer. So be careful if you have to ever change this out. THis truck we have here has an 05 body style, but the VIN says it is an 03 which screwed everything up. I am guessing the frame is an 03 and everything else is 05. It isnt your typical Ford Super Duty either, it is a shorter frame and tows Aircraft generation equipment around, so Ford doesnt put this vehicle together. Thanks for all your help.
