Just got done with the rebuild on my 01 4R100. Used ATS rebuild kit with new BD Diesel torque converter. Installed everything just as the manual says and put everything back together the way it was. Got everything installed back in the truck. Fired it up and now I don't have park, reverse, or neutral. The trans is stuck in forward gearing. If anyone can shed any light on this problem please let er rip.wned:
All the parts that came out went back in except the old clutches and steels. I didn't have anything left over on my work table. Is it possible that if a check ball wasn't put in just the right place it could cause this?
The trans works great compaired to how it was before. I have to get used to the torque converter stall cause it is more than stock. I can vouch that BD makes a good product though. When it locks up it locks up. Shifts are firmer but not harsh. I will have to let you know how it tows in a week after I get some miles on her.
We shall see. I will let yall know how everything holds up.
