These posts are really old however, I found them bcuz I own a 03 sonic blue crew cab with 6ft bed and the 5.4 gas motor with blue grill and bumpers. My wife pulls horses with and uses it as a daily farm truck. I'm at a cross roads where it needs rust repairs. The sonic blue is so rare I couldn't find another crew cab unless it was diesel and lifted AND chats from a 9 year old forum. Mine is bone stock. Should I fix it up and go historic in 2023 or sell it and get a newer?
I'll add that it is a 4x4 with black leather. It is a rare bird. The popular negative is that's gas and a 5.4L. It will be a resto job. Rare trucks, when to consider it a classic?
Go for the repair. It'll still be cheaper than a new one.
