Iv searched a few threads and i cant find out how long i need to make my bars for the 6nich lift on the truck. anyone know what the length should be?
Run a straight line from you rear axle to the frame so that it runs in line with the drive shafty and thats your measurement. You just want to look at it from the side and see it running inline with the driveshaft. Worst that would happen is they would bind under articulation. These trucks are not rock crawlers so you would have to be way off to get them to bind under load when towing.
It depends on what your goals are... If your going to run traction bars for sled pulling you'd want to go longer and try to mimic your driveline angle. I have a 6" lift with 35's and am running 6-foot bars, they work great.
If your planning to drag race often you might want to look into a short ladder bar setup... In a lifted truck that sees off-road conditions often, a traction bar is best.
