Back up sensor staying off.

light on switch stays on indicating switch turned off, won't turn on by pushing.

Do I have a bad sensor? Fuse?

Did a search but didn't find any help..

Re: Back up sensor staying off.

I have read that one sensor could be bad causing the system to turn off. I can't find a fuse for it either.

Anyone?

Re: Back up sensor staying off.

Set your e-brake, stick the truck in reverse. Hop out and stick your ear close to each sensor on the bumper.
Listen...if you hear a rapid succession of click click click...that sensor is good. The quiet one or the slow click......click....click is the bad sensor.
If none of them make a noise, look into wiring issues

Re: Back up sensor staying off.

Actually...I will be checking mine also. It will not stay in the on position. Light will go out when pushed...but as soon as I put it in reverse...the off light comes on!!
