Dually Pics

Post up some pics of your duallys. I'm gonna fix up the white '05 crew-cab dually we just got. Gotta a basic plan of the Harley grill painted white, black insert, 3/5 DJM drop, black wheels with chrome center caps, '08 tailgate, smoked Harley lights, probably smoked taillights, side markers, etc... Wanna get some other ideas though.

Danny,

I'm pretty sure that is the F-650 lower dash mod.... Don't know for sure, but it is pretty good looking.

BTW Danny- I've still got my smoked marker lights for the fenders. They are not the Recon ones that have the built in LED's but like the stock ones that use the 194 bulbs. I used led bulbs and they looked great!

If you want them, they're yours.

Right : My old 2004 Lowered Dually
Left : My current 2002 CC SB 4x4 Dually

The 02 has since gotten a Keystone Heat Extracter hood, was completely repainted (still white), got a 2005 front end with chrome edition grille, new snugtop shell (no side windows), the APP 19.5" wheels were fully polished and new center caps ordered from APP. I've still got a ton of work to do but I totally love this truck!

no it started out as 4x4.. been like that from day one. I wanted to do a deep wheel in the front, so when i had the wheels made for it, i measured out and decided on the back spacing and just took the dually adapter off the front. i like the stance that it has.

Dex, they are 35x12.50x20's.. i have 1/2 inch of spacing in the rear, it's close, but they do not touch

i got them built by Stazworks offroad in michigan. there a direct bolt on. Sense i removed the dually adapter in the front, it's an 8x170 pattern and in the rear it's the 8x225 450 bolt pattern. he can build anything you want. we drew the design up and he built them. and the rears are 20x9 with the front being 20x10's

[QUOTE=atxstroker;1571559]Sweet rig man, wat kinda lift n shocks u got and wat size spacers I want that on my truck now!!![/

Its a 3in lift, blocks in back with a 2 in spacer in the rear( best spacer made the right way) with stock shocks, offroad ones from autozone( getting blistens soon). 35'' tires. Best thing about this lift is it fits in a garage still and fits in parking structures like when you go to a hospital. IMHO the best size lift and tires out there, you can still use your truck! IF you want specs of where i bought everything PM me.

Re: Dually Pics

It was an 8" lift with 39x13.50x16 Super Swamper Irok tire. I wouldn't advise going with a 13.50 on a stock wheel. The front tires kept splitting in the sidewalls and I had one blow out as I was driving down the highway.

Re: Dually Pics

Good looking trucks guys!!

Quick question for you guys running oversized tires and lifts. I just bought a 2000 F350 Dually, stock suspension but it has 235/85R16 Mud tires on it now but it needs new tires. I would like to throw a small lift (will be snowplowing and pulling with the truck) and run maybe 35s, how can I achieve this? 3inch lift? Also, I am assuming I will need spacers in the rear....where can I get good quality ones? Thanks.

For rear spacers i went with these, there steel and made right and super strong plus they're hub-centric and wheel-centric. WheelAdapter.com Wheel Spacers Wheel Spacers . Dont get any other spacer, all the aluminum ones are CRAP.

For lift I when with 270 MAXX-LIFT LB1999 2004 F250 F350 4x4 TRUCKS but many people sell this kit. these ones are good http://www.trucktoyzstore.com/realm/...idcategory=118

I kept the stock shock and never touched the track bar, even when i lifted it. but in the future im getting dual front shocks.

So for lift and spacers ur at about $650 all you need is tires. 315 75 R16 which i recommend Goodyear duratracs Rated E and are about $254 a tire.

Now I dont know about other people, but i have minor wheel hop. If i would do it again i would get different rear blocks From OUO http://www.trucktoyzstore.com/realm/...idcategory=532 and just get the blocks first and when money comes you can get the traction bars later.

Hope this helps PM me for any questions.

Dumb question but...if 37s fit on an 08 with a 2.5" leveling kit what kind of tires can I run on a 6" kit? Also for 12.50s/13.50s what size spacer would I need?

I have 12.5 and 2in is the smallest I'll go I got about a thumb wide on the bulge of bottom of the tire. 37's would fit even with a 2in just u can barley turn without rubing and if y flex I dunno if 37'S will clear tje 1999-2007 wheel wells. Sorry for the grammar off my phone :)

I wouldn't go to a 37 with the stock rim... unless they're 12.5's.

Re: Dually Pics

well, a 12.5 on a 6in wheel isnt the best.... for a 37 i might've gotten a 3in spacer but i dunno. And please don't get a aluminum spacer....IMO 35" tires is the biggest i would go on a dually.

Re: Dually Pics

Yea but would probably not do it again. Ordered my tires from discount, and wen they finally came they said they can't mount them anymore because Of safety. I spent all day tryin to find someone that would mount them, and they all said it's almost impossible to balence that big of a tire. But with that all said it still has a killer stance :) also the 12.5 don't wear out nice and even on a 6in rim.

Re: Dually Pics

Semperfidoordie... I am planning on having some pics taken of my truck this weekend if you want to see my setup with 285's. I went back and forth the same as you on which tire size to get and I am more than happy with my 285's. I think the 285's are a good balance between truck and tire. Plus with 285's you wont have to add a spacer to the front to prevent lock to lock tire rub.

Re: Dually Pics

Mine is just leveled, not lifted. At 65mph I am just slightly over 2000rpm and I have 4.10's. I really dont care about my MPG's but I have checked a couple times and I am running in the neighborhood of upper 15's to lower 16mpg (empty). I will say it seems to have been better on mileage since I have gone to a slightly bigger tire. Rides a heck of a lot better too, but then again I have replaced all the shocks, bushings and such while I was at it too.

And please... dont cheap out on the spacers. Get the steel hubcentric spacers. Better safe than sorry.

265/75-16 front, 235/85-16 rear. I removed the front hub extension and swapped the wheel studs from the extension to the actual hub.

Main reason was becouse the stock size dually tires (pizza cutters) bulged especially with the extra weight of a snow plow hanging off the front. More surface area. I could have put the larger tires on the stock dually rims but then those would look weird too. Also, don't like the look of the star rims on the front especially with the cheesy ugly plastic center caps. Also to be original. Some day I'm gonna get some custom rims and make them all match. But for now it will do.

Re: Dually Pics

Quick, maybe dumb question but if I put a 2" leveling kit on my truck, with a 2" spacer in the rear, will I fit 33x1250s pretty easily?

Actually 265/75 16 look great on the dually wheels I like everything thing in proportion and they give the truck a nice aggressive look without looking like balloons and do eagle 059'sthey make them in dually and single wheel so order the backs and single front

American Force first gens. I have about 50K on them now. They could use another polish before winter hits. They came with some thin cheap clear coat on them that lasted most of the first winter before the mag chloride got underneath it and popped a bunch of it off. I took some paint remover and cleaned the rest off then used scotch bright pads to smooth down the remaining machining marks and re polish both sides. Except for the inner steels I rotate them front to back twice a year. I just spent a day with clay bar and wax, the wheels get there chance in a week or so.

Mike, I love those rims!! What size are they? And what size of tire are you running on them? If those rims are still available new, I'd consider getting a set for my OBS.

The rims are American Force, the tires are Hankook DH01 19.5 254x70r They are only 33" but that helps the 410 gears a lot for daily driving. Since doing my EGR delete, Eric's tunes and studs this spring I went from 9mpg with the camper to 12.5mpg, I am very happy about that, unloaded I don't know I have been riding my bike most of the summer.

I have a few pictures spread out through my Photobucket.

Dang... That style appears to be discontinued. Don't know why cause it looks much better than the "classics" they offer now.

1999 f350 supercab with 2007 F-550 front. 2011 rear bumper waiting on tailgate and mirrors. thinking of putting 2011 front. any advice? truck is also getting painted completely white. Also putting a strip of amber lights led under the doors just like Trailerhauler but mine will be the strip not separated.

If you swap front ends I want your 550 flares! Do you know where I could find a set?
Try and get some clearer pictures, the truck looks good from what I can see.
