In the past, when I swapped a 140mph cluster for an 85mph cluster in a late model Mustang, it was easy to spend a few minutes with a drill running the 140mph cluster really fast to run the miles up until it matched the one I was taking out.
Anyone know of an easy way to do this on a 2000 model (mechanical odometer) F250 cluster? Due to some gauge issues I suspect I may be having, I'm thinking of picking up a used cluster from a junk yard. The problem is I want to make sure the truck reads the correct mileage, so if I buy a used cluster with less miles than what mine has, is there an easy way to run the miles up on the replacement cluster to match the one coming out of the truck?
Thanks in advance..
