Thats a Good Idea! from what i've read you should always keep a little air say 5 lbs so they don't bottom out and hit,they say this can damage them.
And i agree with the Bags as the way to go,you wouldn't even know they were there until you needed them,so you would would still have the factory ride when not haulin a heavy load...The best of both worlds.
I guess it all depends on the way you install them,and i bet they have improved on the systems since i read that about bottoming out,to make them Idiot proff LOL
sounds like correct bump stop placement would be the trick!

I work at a place where we build air ride trailers.
Built my own five link air bag suspension for a 97 F-250 short box. Loved it for towing. No more getting the brights. Kept the truck at the right height all the time.
Trucks now smashed (little brother). Now have an 02 F-350. Thinking about putting it on that unit. Smooth ride, no wheel hop.
I've been looking at doing this on my 2004 F350 and going full air ride all the way around, whats the chances you could help me out figuring the geometries on all the suspension bars so they don't bind during articulation and travel?
Not to high jack the thread but did you guys remove the factory over load springs when you put the bags on? Or even take out a leaf to smooth the ride out some?
