Last night went out to the track and was able to pull off a 13.91 @ 94.62!! This may not seem very extravagant but my truck is COMPLETELY STOCK except for Truck Source Diesel Tune, S&B intake, and a 5" Exhaust no studs, no egr delete, stock trans, stock turbo, stock sticks etc... The truck was feeling good last night and was on its way to 13.8's before the track started to go to crap, my last 2 runs were 4 wheel burnouts off the line even launching at 15 lbs! I just wanted to thank TSD for everything they have done for my truck, I have been running their tunes for about a year now and have not had any problems :bowfast: Now it's time for upgrades and see what the truck will do!
Thanks guys, my best 60ft last night was 1.802. The first run of the night was a 1.828 @ 13.98 so I was hoping if I cut a 1.7 I could hit 13.8. The track near san antonio has really gone down hill, I am hoping to take it to Baytown where I hear a lot of guys have had there fastest times.
Thanks coop, Once you get your bugs worked out I am sure you will blow that 13.5 out of the water! I am thinkin about putting a little spritz in mine at the diesel shoot out just to see what will happen :evil
Id like to get a weight on your truck so we can figure the power we're at, then throw a little more in the tune to see if we can find another mph or two.
i think youll be surprised how well it runs in baytown, ive always been a mph off and one or two tenths off running here compared to there.
Thanks Chris,
I weighed the truck last time I was out there but forgot what it was, I wanna say it was 7250 but I am not sure, I am really looking forward to baytown! If you can get some more power in the tune that would be SAWEET! :bowfast:
I was thinking the same thing... not really stock.
I ran quicker with tune only and a truely stock hard parts, 05 Crew Cab long bed. Not much faster, but faster. I had a really good short time leaving at 20 pounds or so.
I am not hating at all, that is an impressive time for any big diesel on any bodys tune. Just remember you are not stock, just mildly modded.
I have had TSD tunes on my truck for over a year with no studs, egr delete, reg. return, or fuel system what so ever and she has yet to puke or have any problems.....knock on wood!!
Have you compared them to any other tuners or is that the only tuner you've tried? Nice times I wish i had a clutch so i could do boosted launches at the track and get some numbers, Im pretty sure if i try to do a boosted launch on my stoker its gonna blow apart
I remember when I dis my first pass. I went 14.2 and the second time I did 13.5 and when I pulled around they said I needed a helmet!! I asked why she said you did 13s and you need one. :bowfast: I was happy. I had Arp studs, intake and 5' exhaust, and Spartans old tunes. The biggest problem was traction.
nice run. low 14's are good for a cc. seems the excab and regcabs though can be as much as a second faster. how was traction on the launch and during the run? some day id like to take mine out and see what she will tear up
btw where is the track around san antone? i figured there was one just havent seen it since i got here
