The price of diesel is once again skyrocketing as we all know. F*ck these middle east riots creating all of this unrest, but thats besides the point.
Currently Betsy is drinking fuel at the rate of 100 bucks or so a week. Thats acting as my daily driver, going to class, going to the gf's and whatever else i may do. Its killing me slowly, since i don't work besides a little landscaping in the summer and snow plowing in the winter.
Do alot of you guys drive little 4banger camrys and civics on the side? i need my truck for work in the summer and the snow plowing. Plus i love it, Just driving it daily isn't economical. I put over 20k miles on her since october with all my running around and plowing. Its absolutely sickening the amount of miles actually.
I'm looking into a 2000-2004 Jetta TDI Manual transmission. They get anywhere from 45-50 mpg. Im thinking about dumping 3-4k on one. That way i can rack up the miles on that, while getting good mileage.
What do you guys think? Good choice for a commuter car? Am i a dumbass to waste money on another vehicle? Tell me what kinda situation you guys are in.
****NOTE**** Exclude you older more established, well off Jack*sses who can afford to pay whatever the Saudis want for Fuel. I on the other hand have about 20-25k to last the entire year including 5 grand in schooling. Thanks snb:
