Hey guys, I have an 01 250 with the 7.3 and its 2wd. Ive decided I want to lower it with the DJM 3/5 drop and run a 22 inch rim. Ive searched everywhere and cant really get the hang of the offset and backspacing issue with wheels. I dont want the wheel to stick out pass the fender. But I also dont want it stuck with inside the wheel well. I think im going with the Incubus Nemesis wheel that is 22x9.5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please no bashing! I have a lifted F-150 and love the whole big tires, loud pipes, mud riding, etc but I also wanted a low cruiser also. Plus a lifted 2wheeler aint my thing! Thanks guys!
22x9.5 with +10mm offset with mine and they didn't stick out past the fenders anymore than stock did. Ran 305 45 22 (33x11). Now mine did rub at full turn but I have leafs up front on my 4wd. You shouldn't have that issue being its 2wd. I can post up a few pics of mine if you like.
Thanks for the info guys! Hey Steve, do you have the DJM kit on your rig? I cant get a big picture to really see your truck. Also guys, what range should I stick with as far as backspacing? Thanks for the help!
Figured it out. Man that rig looks sick!!! What tire size are you running? It looks wayyy better with the running boards off. How hard was it to install the DJM kit?
the tire is a 305/35/24. The kit wasn't too bad, took about 8hrs with help from a friend that includes mounting and balancing the tires and the alignment.
Ok what tire should I get for the 22's? I keep seeing the load range 114v that handles 2600 lbs per tire at like 50-55 psi. Would that be enough? I dont haul much of anything with this truck anymore. Just wondering maybe some brands of tires? At least the load range I should be shooting for. Thanks!
What backspace should i look for? This is soo confusing. I found an Incubus Game Over 22x9.5 with +10 offset and 5.64 backspace? I want the tires to sit right at the fender. Is this a good setup?
Also, I see alot of them talk about the hub bore and something centric? Some are different then others. Do I need to be concerned with this? I just started seeing this. Thanks
a +10 on a 9.5 wide wheel will not be quite flush it will stick out just a little. as far as hub centric, i havent seen many aftermarket wheels that are not lug centric mine are lug centric and i have no problems.
I just took order on my 22s. They are 22x9 with a +10 offset. I havent stuck them on yet cause my truck is still in the tranny shop. Will that setup work?
