Meh... I dunno what your mechanic ability is, its a few little pieces here and there. Valve body can be tricky. Maybe contact a tranny shop and ask them what it would cost to install it for you??
I had the transcommand for a while and it did firm up the shifts...took it off when I got the DP tunes...still laying around if you really wanna try it
I had one for a while, it firmed up the shifts but then my trans blew up so idk if it was un related or a result of the transcommand but after i got a built trans i pulled it and got rid of it. I'd agree with everybody else and say go for a valve body. I have the tugger kit and love it.
I had a Transcommand that came as part of the Banks Powerpack kit. I used it for awhile and then it wound up in the trash. As I recall, it cost about as much as a modded valve body from BTS or John Woods. A Transgo tugger kit is around $100 from Summit Racing but you do the work.
A 285/75-16 is the equivalent of a 32.8 inch by 11.5 inch tire. To run them on a dually due to different wheel offset you will need 2" spacers between the rear tires. I thought I remember you saying that your truck was converted to a dually from a single rear wheel using spacers between the drum and the inner wheel. If so do not add another spacer. You will need to find a dually rear from a pickup and not a cab/chassis. Here is what it will look like with the correct axle and spacers between the wheels.
Trans command does not boost the EPC enough to keep from burning the intermediate clutches if you are only running a slight increase in power. Ok for a stock truck maybe.
No kidding...6 weeks after installing stageII injectors and NEVER using full throttle the torque convertor ate itself and the resulting junk clogged the transmission. Bought a BTS after that for 80kmiles of troublefree operation seeing 3800 rpm and 400+ hp everyday.
You know its kinda hard to figure out who your asking questions to. In every post there is a quote button, click that and it will bring you to a page with the post from a person you wanna ask a question to. To the right of the quote button is the multi-quote button. Using that button allows you to ask multiple questions or reply to multiple posts.
did you put the body lift on your self? What problems did you run in to?
