IMO..don't lift a TTB..get a D60 then lift with a RS kit and SD springs..more $$ but will ride better than a SD..We have all required..we developed this mod 10 years ago and hundreds of happy OBS owners..
You're looking at close to $1,000 for a dana 60 and thats if you are lucky.
When you go to do it try to get one out of the same year truck as the one you want to put it in. If it is a different year than your truck you may have to use the break calipers off of the truck that the d60 came off.
Get the drivers side U-bolt bracket, track bar, track bar bracket, complete driveshaft from transfer case to frontend, the F-350 leaf springs, steering bars and also try to get the calipers, the rear F-350 blocks as well. This will make installing it easy if you have everything that you need to begin with.
If you get add a leafs for the stock F-250 axle you will have to go get your truck aligned. Get new, longer front u-bolts if you do this, it makes hooking everything else up go back faster.
I completed the dana 60 swap using obs springs and it rides way worse with a solid axle than with ttb, if you go dana 60 up front you should consider SD springs, i should have for sure. rough country has an affordable 2.5, 4, and 6 inch lifts. check out a TS 6 position chip, they can be had for about $300
A D60 with stock F350 springs will raise your front end to level or a tad higher than the rear. The swap was on a '90 F250 diesel. It rode better after the swap.
Ok. I dont live too far from a salvage yard so I will give them a jingle.
