8,000 miles ago i went through hell to find new clutch packs to rebuild my posi in my 1996 OBS 10.25 dually rear. today i was driving through snow and noticed the sonn bixxx is giving me one tire fire! how can this be? are the trac locs really that bad? i should have just bought a detroit-locker.
is that their limited slip spring driven?
I had the full locking detroit locker on my 02.
LOVED IT! I modified my driving slightly to compensate for different weather patterns and i had NO problems.
I think the key is adding an extra clutch when you rebuild trac-loc's. That is what the guy did in the 9" in my ranger. It works bitchen, and that thing has never not spun both tires on me. Has got me through some hairy dunes in 2wd's that I definitely would not do in the diesel 4wd lol. But thats a different story too.
