Whats everyones opinions on add-a-leafs? I know they will make the ride a little stiffer. I want about 2" lift on my truck. I have a gas burner and my front leafs are starting to bend the opposite direction. I don't see how adding them to the front would be a bad idea, i know that stack blocks are though. I was thinking maybe 2" add-a-leaf up front and 2" lift blocks for the rear. I have 33's on the truck now and it sits perfect, but with the new tires i want they are a little taller and i hate the crammed wheel well look. And body lift is 100% out of the question.
Options..2" hangers, new V or X codes, 2" mini spring pack, depending on which way you go you may need a adj track bar and shocks..if I can help let me know..
AAL are not bad it will ride a little stiffer, but u will get enough lift to fit 33s with ease. Also I have never had any problems with blocks just don't use the cheap blocks u find at ur local auto parts store.
I have a new set of skyjacker aal I would sell for 40 they will give u 2", an no track bar or shock adjustment is necessary if u stay under 3" of lift.
I am running a add-a-leaf now and I wouldnt do it again. Also I would definatly say an adjustable track bar is needed with the add-a-leaf. I gained about two inches but after a year it sagged to about one inch, and the springs are a goofy "S" shape. I would listen to OBSWIZ and go with his suggestions.
