I've never owned a truck before and I'm used to buying car tires that are sized as 265 60 16 or something like that.
The tires on my truck currently are 285 70 16 I think but while looking around for new tires I see there are some tires listed as 33 x 13.50-16 which I'm assuming means 33" diameter, on a 13.5" wide rim, with a 16" diameter rim.
First of all, is that correct?
Second, is there some way to tell if a 33 X 13.50-16 fits on the same rim as a 285 70 16?
Strangely enough the guys at the tire shop I got my tires from thought I was doing Black Magic when following this simple conversion when sizing up tires.
