Matt,
My wheels are 20x10 with 5" BS. They stick out a few inches, but it's not ridiculous looking at all. I'm running 35x12.50 Toyo MTs. Here's a pic that kinda shows it. Kinda. Let me know if you want one looking down the side from the front and I'll get you one tomorrow.
Here's one that shows the front after all. However, the passenger side sticks out a bit more on my truck because my track bar isn't quite centered. Need to fix that... LOL
haha well, Without clouding up your thread too much..
your looking for a more "flush" wheel appose to a deep dish?
if im beginning to understand correctly, B/S more or less is going to throw the wheel outside the fender or keep it tucked in, where is the offset is going to determine how much rim or "dish" is showing ?
more -offset gives you more dish like the -12 in the 2011 is almost flush
I think I want more dish so -25 offset would be better?
They make the diamo 17 karat in that wheel and the moto metal 955 also. Both wheels look great IMO. Wheel Pros METAL MO955 CHROME&style=MO9552&dspstyle=MO955&desc=one piece aluminum chrome§ion=MO Wheel Pros 17 KARAT CHROME&style=DI0172&dspstyle=DI17&desc=one piece aluminum chrome§ion=DI
The stock offset on 2008-2010 Super Duties is +40mm (6.07" BS). Doing the calculations from a stock 275/70R18 tire to true 12.5" and 13.5" tire widths for the 10" and 12" wide wheels, respectively, you have:
20x10 wheels with 5.00" BS will stick out approximately 2.91" beyond stock
20x10 wheels with 4.50" BS will stick out approximately 3.41" beyond stock
20x10 wheels with 4.75" BS will stick out approximately 4.66" beyond stock
I think the "dish" or "lip" is mostly determined by the style of the wheel and spokes. Backspace only effects how far the wheel is sticking out as oppose to the width of the wheel.
