So it seems that my 04 has a Sterling 10.5 inch rear end....not a Dana, are these ok for much pulling say 10K # ????Or should I start looking for a replacement? Thanks Dino

They all have sterlings. Thought they were 10.25" though. Dana 60 in front, sterling in rear.... should be fine. There are trucks getting punished far worse than you'll ever do with it.

Is the Sterling 10.25/10.50 built by or contracted through the Sterling Truck co.?

I'd say we've towed well over 18k lbs with a 97 F-250 with the 10.25 and in the 06 F-250 with a 10.5 multiple times. In the 231k+ miles on the OBS and 90k+ on the 06 we've never had a single problem.

Now the transmission is another story.LOL
