well the truck is going in for studs, egr delete, new limited slip,a door lock, and some other things for just 100$ dollars WOW i love my xtended warrenty
:whs:
Mine was done under warranty the first time and the heads were flat according to Ford.20k later I had the cab in the air in my garage doing them right.
well i will look into it should i have them checked even though the gaskets are ok no blown head gaskets just doing studs and delete to be safe wile its still in warrenty
My local dealer wouldn't even do studs at all because its not OEM. That was not even warrenty work either. I would find it hard to believe a dealership would delete factory emisions equipment such as an egr.
X2 So your buddy must be dooing the studs and delete out of the goodness of his heart ....Ford will not reimburse him for any thing that is not factory. My 04 had a new egr valve and cooler done just 12K miles ago under warrenty, and in no way shape or form would the dealership even consider removeing any thing emissons related ? Dino
as i said my buddy is the only diesel guy there he runs the show he can do anything it is wonderfull and to top it all off that is with a chrysler extended warrenty ha it good to have friends
no there is a way around every thing u just need to know how to work the system
he brings it in says its blown up takes it apart and when it goes back together he puts in the studs and delete he does 1 a week the dealer dont care
there are a lot of dealers out there that will install studs. as long as you provide them. egr delete is a little harder but there are dealers out there that will do it.
We have a dealer here in upstate NY who stocks ARP headstuds and liberator EGR deletes on their shelves. They will install this stuff under warranty provided you buy the parts from them. I've heard they have done a few trucks that didn't even have any symptoms... some guys wanted it done, they did it and got it covered somehow... pretty risky.
I had my studs put in by a dealer too. I was back about 10k miles later having the gaskets done again. Fords spec for flatness sucks. They NEED TO BE DECKED!
its all fine and good til Chrysler sends someone out to inspect truck when tore down and after its put back together. I have the same warranty thur Chrysler and its 200 bucks. Rates just increased last month.
i dont see how they can increase the rate from 100 to 200 i have not receved a leter on notice of this and the inspector only comes out befor the tare down not for the assembly
I was actually being serious, but I guess the first road bump you hit as you leave the dealership followed by the sound of metal studs clanging together in a cardboard box might not be as funny. LOL
Not trying to be a dik, but if you are going to insult people you might want to use spell check first. That way you don't look stupid. Next, this is a forum and there is going to be opinionated discussion. If you can't handle that, then you need not post here. And if you are not worried about making friends then it seems like making enemies is what you are doing. You might not get to much help when you need it later on... just saying.
I had studs , victor reinz head gaskets , egr delete, and Elite's 185cc injectors installed under warranty for the $100 deductable (plus tax) . I got to kept the ford gaskets they were going to install in case I need them later. I only had two months left on my warranty and already had several mods on the truck . As long as Ford doesnt send an inspector out to check the truck, alot of dealers will install them for you .
so 4 injectors, egr delete, studs, a complete rearend, fuel pressure spring kit, dor lock cylinder, ficm and some other things for 100$ and i tiped the guy!!!
