I don't think it will work as the your wheel base is different and no matter what you do the wheel wells are not going to line up
I dont think cutting the frame has anything to do with it, unless your going to cut the frame in front of the times, take a foot and a half out, plus modify the drive shaft
yep, take the bed off and slide the axle forward about a foot and a half. put on the short bed and don't worry about the drive shaft, the u-joints will line up. that's why there is a slip joint there- they fit long and short beds. and don't worry about the brake lines, just coil them up and tie them up out of the way. you should be good to go!
