Good deal! 3 years ago when I bought my first B&W, I got the gooseneck hitch and the companion shipped to my door for just under $1,000. The gooseneck for the 11 was $399 and my companion hitch still has plenty of years of service left in it!
Now you need to find a deal on a turnover ball and get that thing installed!
Sweet deal. I got the same one, but got mine off of craigslist for... get this... wait for it... wait for it... $250!!!! Same type of deal as yours. Guy only used it a few times and sold everything. Truck, trailer, hitch, etc..
If you buy one used or what ever. Give B&W a call, they sent them to me for free.... only thing, one came off already, the tape they give is very thin. Didn't loose one, but it came off when I moved the hitch. I am thinking of using auto emblem tape, thicker but solid as a rock I think.
Great deal...I have just over a $500 in my complete setup. My used 04 had the B&W Turnover ball setup in it when I bought the truck. The Companion was thrown in as a deal closer for my new fiver. When I traded for the 2011, the new B&W Turnover ball was $504 installed.
500 installed isn't terrible. However the installation was pretty easy. 3 hrs working slow and actually reading the directions! LOL
for allot of people 150.00 is worth 3 hrs to them.
I was in a bit of bind. I was 800 miles away from home working in Omaha and my 04 6.0 decided to give me problems again. I traded it in my 2011. I needed a B&W base now. The buy price was $399. The installed price was $504. Easy choice seeing my garage was 800 miles away.
I was working out there for 10 weeks last May, June and into July. I knew I was going to be there for at least 2 months so instead of hotel-ing it I pulled our 35 foot Big Horn fiver out there. While out there I had another episode with the 6.0. I had to do something. Fix it or replace it. Fortunately, all that work made the decision easy. We put the old one back together, got almost what I paid for it in trade and left it in Nebraska. I hope whoever got it, bought it right. I picked up the truck on Saturday afternoon and had the hitch installed on Monday. We worked through Thursday noon and put 1000 miles on the new truck. Hooked thee fiver up Thursday afternoon and headed home. I have been smiling big since.
Regards
