who has made a ladder bar and what did you use? not the single pole ones, trac bars, but a ladder bar. i was thinking some 1 1/4" square tubing in a design like this, but im not opposed to round. just trying to find out what size i want. it would have a shackle on the front like dpp's ladder bar. im thinking cuz its a ladder bar i can use lighter stuff, maybe 1" stuff. i wont have all the stress on a single pole, like a trac bar. thoughts ??
I want to build mine like your talking about, only I think I'm going to use 1 1/2" square 3/16" wall maybe 1/8". I just need to measure them up so I can keep the angle as close as possible to the driveline.
im makin these, though i dont want the solid center section like he has. his is there i think for the name. kinda multi ? on traction bars - Page 2 - Powerstroke Nation. the ones dpp made. they look to be made from round and i want them out of square. my shackle will be the same, but in that pic he only has two bolts to the frame and i will have four. and in the back my spread will be a little wider. i will guess his to be about 5 inches, outside to outside on the axel end, mine will be about 7.
