I have been looking around trying to figure out how to lower my truck a little. I have seen 05 coilover conversions which look interesting. I was just brainstorming and thought about using 4" lift springs and putting them on the bottom of the axle (like a flip kit?). I have not thought long on suspension systems, so I am sure this has been explored before. Anyone done this or have any thoughts?

Realize that you don't have much more than a few inches of travel up front as it is. The front end can't be lowered much. The rear end can be lowered somewhat. I used the F250 lift blocks to lower my rear end 2" which really helped.
I load motorcycles and like a lower tailgate height.
here is mine stock front with no blocks in the rear
