I have not used them yet. I plan on ordering some when i have the extra cash. I have a set of 265 75 16 E tires off somebodys truck when they got new ones I am putting on to get me by another year.
I have installed a set fo 285 16 for a customer. They balanced out real nice very little weight. I think they make good stuff. Have read many good things about their tires.
Well guys I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I just put a set of their 285/75-16 E-rated tires on my truck and it took between 10-13oz. of weight per wheel to "balance" them and they still wobble going down the road. We had rotated and swapped them around an re re re balanced them to no avail. I have had them on for about two weeks and they will be going back just as soon as someone from treadwright will return my calls. They don't seem to want to hear from anyone with an issue only the glory stories. I gave them an honest shot and in my opinion they suck. They are horrible in the rain as well.
Retreads on the front are normally illegal. The key to using retreaded tires is to insure you are starting with a good casing and are dealing with a reputable recapper who does the proper casing inspection/NDI before applying the retread rubber. Too many shops cap anything that comes into the shop and that results in nothing but problems for the customer and a bad reputation for all recaps.
