Eric took out his ccsb 6.7 and let her have it. Came out with a best run of 14.6@94mph.
The run was made in the right lane as the slip shows, the video below shows his first run in the left lane when he arrived.
Truck has dpf back exhaust and an afe intake... along with his own tuning.
Fastest run with a slip and video that I've heard of!
Just checked the link on my iPhone and computer and I didn't have any trouble.
I'll try and the video and reload it onto YouTube or something, to fix that.
94 mph is as good as a race tuned 6.0! If he can get that thing to launch a little harder and get the 60 down, the 1/4 is going to be right there with the mph.
Good work Eric! Especially as early in the game as we are on this motor.
I am assuming we will see this truck on the dyno Oct 2? On another note, those tail lights are DARK! You can't even tell in the video when he hits the brakes except for the tailgate light bar.
Im sure that is no where near what they are looking for.. These vids are just to show that the tuners are making some forward progress.. It takes a while for these trucks to get figured out and every time a new one comes out they (manufacturer) try and make it that much harder to crack the codes on the ECU
Why does nobody remember that the 6.4 tuning was not making big power until almost a year after it came on the scene? Every time a new engine comes out the programming gets way more complex and involved. It takes even the best some time to reverse engineer these things.
Hey Mr. Woodcock, thanks for questioning my answer to his question and then providing the same answer over with different wording! oke: Right back at ya pal.
By the way, I heard yesterday at the IDP dyno event that Eric found the tricks he was looking for. I think this week at the track will provide much more satisfactory results for all the impatient people that think the 6.7 should already be as fast or faster than the 6.4!
But after seein eric's wife drive that black crew cab home i guess she needs a grocery getter and kid carrier too LOL
