after becoming recently unemployed, i have been shredding for people as a temporary source of income. I went out to the barn sunday morning to perform some general maintaince on my tractor when i get behind the tractor to do some maintaince on my rhino se-6 shredder i see this....
no big deal all i need is a new pin to secure it... then when i examine the shaft closer i notice this..............
this shaft has only 10 hours on it, it has been well greased and has not been used for brush cutting, just cutting 2ft. tall grass. i have not ran over any wood, or bricks or anything that could do any sort of damage, in fact i have been using the same grade 5 shear pin since i installed the shaft.
i took this shaft assembly back to the CASE/IH dealership where i purchased it from. the salesman who sold it to me literally had his jaw hit the floor when he saw it. good news is i'm getting a newer heavy duty one for just the diff. in price. bad news is i have to wait 2 weeks before it will come in.....
