HELLO, I WAS WONDERING IF ITS POSSIBLE TO PUT A SET OF 2010 20" FORD SUPER DUTY OEM WHEELS ON MY 2000 FORD F-250 PSD 2 WHEEL DRIVE??
IF SO, DO I NEED A SET OF WHEEL SPACERS? WHAT SIZE? ANY ADVANTAGES OR DISADVANTAGES OF USING WHEEL SPACERS? IS THERE ANY OEM SUPER DUTY WHEEL 18INCH OR 20INCH THAT WILL BOLT ON WITHOUT ANY SPACERS? IF SO, WHAT YEAR AND MODEL??
Re: IS IT POSSIBLE TO 2010 20" OEM SUPER DUTY WHEELS ON A 2000 F250 PSD 2-WHEEL DRIVE
would have to use wheel spacers cause back space is different and you would rub on leafs quick. I wouldnt run spacers on our trucks doesnt seem safe to me. you will have to use spacers on any wheel you find from trucks 2005-present
Total BS. Spacers don't increase the load on the hub or on the rim. The only thing that has more load is the spacer itself and they are more than up to the task.
I put about 12,000 miles on my truck with 20s and spacers this summer with no issues. My GCW was nearly 21K for half of those miles. And the roads were rough. Be sure to use hub centric spacers, not lug centric.

You need hubcentric wheel spacers. I have them all the way around on my 02, with 08 20 inch wheels. I love the wheels. The ride is way, way better. The front spacers bolt right up, but the backs are tricky. I have yet to see another set done. Everyone just does the front and not the back. I have billet alum. spacers on mine for over a year now. Towed 30k plus and have multilple 13 sec. 4wd launch passes on mine. The other pic is the machine work i had to do to get the spacer to clear the rear hub.

To be honest. It was over a year ago, i cant remember. I believe it was around .750 or something in that nature. And i moved it alittle to make some more clearance. I made a template on the waterjet, of the lugs on the spacer, and the material i wanted to remove. Bolted the template to the spacer and dropped in a endmill bit. Then just removed the material. And alittle more to make sure it cleared. You have to remove the axle shaft, bolt the spacer up, then put the axle back in. This was the safest way i could figure up, to leave as much material of the hubcentric part possible. I have heard others that have tried to machine out the whole inner ring. But that would have left hardly any material in the inner ring. Lemme know how it goes. Good luck.

BTW: Tirerack.com sells 275/65/R20 Wranglers for $~219 a tire + shipping. I bought 2 of them and 2 General Grabber HTSs as well... though they are back ordered right now.
My local tire shop wants a ridiculous price for 20s.

Im running 05 wheels on my 2000 without spacers. Everything clears except in the back you have to take of the brake dust covers. I dont have any problems with rubbing up front.

Hmm. I didnt have any problem rubbing in the back. The front tires hit at about 3/4 turn both ways. They were only on a week before i got my spacers here. It drove me nutz looking at the way they sat in, in the wheel well. Reminded me of those rail road trucks.

I put 2012 8 spoke 20's on my 01 using the same adapters that you guys did as well as milling the rears like you did. My tires are worn and it looks to me like a new set of tires will rub the front bumper when you turn left or right. Have you guys had any issues with the 20's rubbing the front bumper, and if you did how did you correct it?

Wheel spacers soon to come (all four for sure).
I ran 2" spacers on my '95 Crewcab Longbox Powerstroke with 49" tires for a couple of years. I even had the LF wheel break at 70 MPH (that was NOT fun being on a 2-lane) and the spacer was fine. I wouldn't hesitate to run a quality set again.

Ok, mine is a 4WD and like i say I have a little rub on the driverside fenderliner and it just looks like when i put on a new set of tires that I may have a problem with a little rub on the front bumper. The rub on the fenderliner is just a matter of pulling the liner back a little.
Being a relatively new member. I hate to bump an old thread but after scouring the ford forums this thread has had the best information I could find.
I ran into the problem with the hubcentric spacers not fitting over the rear hub on my 2004 SRW F350.
I see a few people in this thread encountered the same problem and did their own machine work. Being that this thread is quite a few years old was hoping there might be some more available information or cad files to be shared. Thanks
I have not heard about this. Is it just barely to small or quite a bit?
Maybe take some sand paper and go over the hub to knock off some rust and grim?
Oh damn. I guess i should of read the whole thread. What i would do is pull the axle. Get a really good template of the hub. Like take a thick piece of paper and tap the edges with a hammer to get a good line. Then take it to a machine shop.
Well the guy who posted said he had a file and the other fella said he was gonna draw it up in cad. Both however have not been active in 2 years. Really looking for that more accurate information.
