I have a 1995 with a manual tranny and when i am on the interstate I can hear a loud high pitched noise and when I push the clutch in about 2 inches it goes away. It has been getting louder for about a month and then about 2 weeks ago it completly went away. I am wondering is it the trowout bearing and will it come back. I know it had a new clutch and pressure plate about one year ago.
I have this same issue. I have a southbend clutch less then a year old 13" single mass upgrade to a con O 375 hp disk.
The trans then got a rebuild with all new bearings and syncros and a new clutch fork. Noise is still there. push the clutch lightly and the noise goes away
can a mod please move this to the 94-97 powerstroke general topic area?
