I put my column in, but the problem is, the new wheel doesn't have cruise buttons, so does anyone know if all of the pins and wires are in there? Or is it going to be a major PITA to get cruise??
swap the wheel out, they are not that much...$60-75, what color is your interior? black wheels are the cheapest, tan leather, and gray leather it seems like..the king ranch ones cost the coin though!
I would think if you had cruise before you would have to have the hook ups there.
Is the slots for the switches in the new wheel? I've got extra switches around here somewhere, just have to find them. The cruise switches plug into the clock spring behind the airbag. They pop out of the wheel nicely. You'll need a clock spring that is set up for cruise though. What yr is your truck? 99-01 should be the same, 02-03 are different.
buttons, wheels...yes, clock springs....no I've added cruise to XL work trucks, and there was something different about the 02-03's clock springs. If I remember correctly the harness ends that plug in under the dash were different. Its been awhile though.
So the 03 wheel is from an excursion? I assume your using a multi function wheel then? We can move this to PM's if you want so we don't dick up OP's post.
