I thought about it with this last engine and had a good idea for it but when I looked into what a pump cost I decided to just go with a remote setup like I have now. A lot of the pulling guys are running them because of cavitation issues with a stock pump. I know a 466 pump will cavitate over 4k rpm bad enough to take the mains out.
I've looked at it specifically to help with the issues associated with large high flowing injectors in a competition vehicle. The next time you see my engine in a truck it will be sporting some components from a dry sump setup, but not a true dry sump... yet...
I assume that DOT is a dry sump, but I have never really looked for the dry sump components under the hood.
ya i sure would like to have some more flow and pressure from a lpop.
