Is there any down side to running a 315/75/16 for a winter tire? other than it mite kill my fuel mileage a little or should i go with something smaller? Im looking for a decent set of used tires so dropping 500$ plus in a new set prob isnt gonna happen.. Ive got some 315/75/16's with 50% tread and there around 250$ that im looking at.. Thanks
im gonna be running my pro comps this winter because i cant afford new tires. these are getting thrown on my stock rims. this should be a fun winter...
I've found tread design has more impact than tire size when it comes to winter traction. I prefer a taller narrower tire, but had good luck with wider tires and the right tread.
I snow plowed with 325/65R18 Goodyear DuraTracs last year.....worked great.
